Spherical roller thrust bearings are thrust rolling bearings that allow for low-friction rotation and accommodate angular misalignment. Featuring an asymmetrical spherical roller design, they are capable of supporting radial loads as well as heavy unidirectional axial loads. Typically, these bearings support a rotating shaft passing through the bore of the shaft washer, while the shaft washer may be misaligned relative to the housing washer; this misalignment is accommodated by the spherical shape of the housing washer’s raceway.
